CUE TV takes the online safety of its users very seriously.
CUE TV is a pilot project set up in July 2011 by The Centre for Urban Education (CUE) working together with Manchester Communication Academy.
During this pilot phase, CUE TV is working with 20 users aged 12 within the guidelines set in Manchester Communication Academy E-Safety Policy. This includes that all users must access using their own issued logon and password and not those of another individual. No other personal data is stored. Passwords must remain confidential. CUE TV is only for educational purposes and students are supervised at all times when using CUE TV.
Image and film consent forms have been obtained by the Centre for Urban Education from Manchester Communication Academy for all participating pupils.
All CUE TV Practitioners and Channel moderators have up-to-date Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau and work within the Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies of the Centre for Urban Education and Manchester Communication Academy.
All content on CUE TV is being moderated for suitability and Child safeguarding plays an important part in this.
All of the content on the CUE TV website is moderated before it goes live.
A designated CUE TV moderator implements safeguarding measures throughout CUE TV, to ensure that it is as safe as possible.
